Biography

Simona Sarti lives and works in Rome as a painter and promoter of artistic performances and events, taking part in Biennal. Exhibitions both in Italy and abroad. She has always been looking forward to experiment new artistic expressions by employing various materials and techniques and at the moment lots of her works are part of both public and private collections. She collaborates with periodicals and magazines as well as with publications on contemporary art and gives interviews for newspapers and the radio. Her complete bibliography can be found at the Macro di Roma, the new Museum of contemporary arts.In 2007 she was entitled "Bachelor of Arts" by the Institute for Diplomatic Relations as a reward for her participation in individual and collective exhibitions both in Italy and abroad. A number of critics has written about her. Her most recent achievements are an exhibition called "In cammino" with thousand of pairs of shoes on display on the banks of the Tiber river, the exhibition "Arte per la liberta" in the Sala Capitolare at the Italian Senate, a performance within the manifestation called "Mille Artisti a Palazzo" held in Cesano Maderno. She describes her own art as something able to carry people beyond space and maintains that time and space are dimensions that any artist can expand at his own will.
